How to plan your kitchen
1. Measure your room. Choose inches or millimetres, sketch the outline and confirm wall lengths. Add doors, windows and open passages.
2. Arrange the essentials. Add a sink, range, refrigerator and cabinets. Use standard-size presets or edit dimensions. Try an island or open-plan dining area.
3. Compare finishes. Choose cabinet fronts, handles, countertops, flooring, wall paint and lighting. Enter your own HEX colours.
4. Review the space. Check overlaps, blocked openings and your chosen appliance-opening and walking-gap targets. Confirm actual appliance requirements separately.
5. Keep your design. Download the editable project for future changes and the PDF brief for discussion with a designer or installer.
Frequently asked questions
Is the kitchen planner free?
Yes. Room editing, layouts, live 3D, finish choices and project/PDF downloads are free to use.
Can I upload a sketch?
Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP reference. For a top-down plan, select two points with a known distance to calibrate its scale, then align it with the room. This does not automatically trace walls or recover accurate measurements from a perspective photograph.
Where are my designs saved?
Designs and restore points save in this browser on this device. Clearing browser data can remove them. Download an editable backup to keep a separate copy or transfer a design to another device. Uploaded reference images are not included in backups.
Is my plan ready to order or install?
This tool uses adjustable, generic components for layout ideas. Its 3D view is an illustration, not a photograph or manufacturer catalogue. Check final measurements, service locations, product specifications and installation requirements with your supplier or installer. The planner does not calculate installation prices.
