Snagging list generator

Walk each room, record what needs attention, attach photos and keep a clear record of who is doing what. Export a report you can discuss on site.

Your data stays in this browser while you work. This tool does not upload job details or photos. Download an editable JSON backup before leaving; your browser will not save this draft automatically. Keep backups private if they include customer or property details.

Property and inspection

Set the context so each defect can be located later.

02

Rooms and areas

Add an area, then record its snags below. You can rename areas as the inspection develops.

03

Track the work

These totals reflect the statuses you enter; verify completed work in person.

04 Your business details and logo optional · for the report

Every field is optional. Saving a business profile stores it only on this device; clearing browser data may remove it. Job and customer details are never included in that saved profile.

How to use this snagging list

  1. Enter the project and scope so readers know what was inspected.
  2. Create a room or area for each part of the property, including exterior spaces where needed.
  3. Add one snag per distinct defect. Describe the exact position, attach a useful photo and assign a priority based on your own agreement.
  4. Set an assignee and target date where known. Update the status and add a completion date only after checking the work.
  5. Download the editable JSON backup; then print or save the report as a PDF. Reopen the JSON when you need to update it.

Use the same viewpoint for follow-up photos where possible. A photograph supports the written description, but the text should still identify the defect without relying on the image.

Common questions

Are my photos uploaded to The Handyman Hub?

No. This tool processes them in your browser. A JSON backup and printed PDF contain the photos you choose to include, so store and share those files carefully.

Can I reopen the list later?

Yes. Download an editable JSON backup and import it later. The active draft is not automatically stored; clearing browser data or closing the page may lose it.

Does “completed” prove the defect has been fixed?

No. It is a status entered by a user. Check the result on site and record any remaining issue or follow-up.

Can I print a blank snag report?

Yes. Print works with an empty list, giving you a clean starting document to fill in manually.
