- Record existing controls, any further action, who owns it and when it must be done.
- Score likelihood and severity before and after the proposed controls. Check the controls in practice rather than relying on the number.
- Have a competent person review the site-specific draft, then print or save it as a PDF.

Common questions
Is this a legally approved risk assessment?
No. It is a drafting aid. A competent person must identify and control the real risks at the specific site and review the final document.
Can I change the example hazards?
Yes. Every hazard, control, person affected, score, owner and action date is editable. Remove examples that do not apply and add site-specific hazards.
Where is my information stored?
The assessment remains in this browser while you work. You can download a JSON backup. Business details are stored on this device only if you click “Save business profile on this device.” Clearing browser data may remove that profile.
Can I download a blank or incomplete draft?
Yes. Print / Save as PDF works even if you have entered nothing. Choose your browser’s Save as PDF destination and check the page. The document remains clearly marked as a draft requiring competent review.
